Artist Statement
For the last ten years I have been working with metal and transparent paint. Transparent paint or candy colors are affective because they allow color and expose the metal surface underneath.
I only use a brush for lines, the remainder of the time is spent with grinders, and other power tools to complete my work.
The other principles remain the same subject matter and light will always be the constant.
There is hope in my work, when I can forget that I am working on a painting. I am not conscious of how every cell in my body works, in reverence to not knowing or being ignorant to what color or line is going to matter. The approach, the walk is pinnacle, to something meaningful.
